We are a self funded Charity and receive no government assistance. We rely on ourselves along with some remarkable community and sponsors support. Maintaining our herd to be healthy and safe is critical and is expensive as is maintaining our facilities at The Path of the Horse. We try to keep our charges at a minimum so as to make our support as affordable as possible.
If you would like to try some equine assisted learning work with us then I think it is really important to get to know each other and make the time to understand your goals and what you would like to achieve with our support. I like to take the time to explain our work and introduce you to what we do and of course, the the wonderful horses you will work with too.
Sessions are based entirely around your needs that we will conducted in a way that feels safe and comfortable for you. We discuss everything with you and you will be absolutely supported and safe.
You are welcome just the way you are. You will not be judged, just cared for and offered assistance and support in reaching your own understanding of how you are feeling and then help you evaluate what serves you well and what you can let go of or would like to better understand.
Our sessions are private for individual work and strictly confidential. Allow 1 1/2 to two hours for a first visit and please wear clothes that you wont mind getting a little fur on! This is not a clinical practice, it's in the open weather permitting.
What Can You Expect In A Session?
Each session will involve myself or other qualified practitioner/s working with you and the horse/s in an arena or open paddock and there will be one or more horses for you to work with.
There is generally no horse riding and prior horse experience is not necessary. Most of our sessions are ground based and you will have time to get acquainted with the horses at your own pace. We may do some mounted sessions depending on your wishes and the best plan to help you.
Importantly, each session is unique and is driven entirely by your specific requirements.
We Can Help You With
Confidence building and assertiveness, relationships, self belief, setting boundaries, communication skills, trust, anxiety and depression, motivation, resilience, anger management, grief and much more.
