Dean Mighell
​Director / practitioner

Dean Mighell has successfully completed the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Learning Training at The Equine Psychotherapy Institute (EPI) and is a Certified Equine Learning Practitioner.

Dean has completed further trauma intensive programs and has successfully completed the Advanced Certificate of Relational Gestalt Counselling at Gestalt Therapy Australia (GTA).
Dean is finishing his final year in Psychotherapy and is a member of PACFA  (Affiliate - Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) and a member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapies. 


Winner of the prestigious 2019 Equine Therapist of the Year Award - Animal Therapies Australia.

Karyn Jones
 practitioner

Karyn Jones has successfully completed the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Learning Training at The Equine Psychotherapy Institute (EPI) and is a Certified Equine Learning Practitioner.

Karyn has more than 30 years experience in financial markets.  Karyn's corporate knowledge and business management skills are integral to our development and growth.

Jane Lincoln
Director/Admin Manager

Jane supports our team by doing all of the administration tasks including accountancy, fundraising, partnerships and sponsorship agreements. 

Jane brings over 29 years experience within the Banking and Finance Sector and has vast experience in connecting communities and establishing and advocating for positive change.

Jane provides a warm and supportive family environment to the Path of the Horse community, always able to give the time and support for those who need while working to support, develop and grow the team.

John GIAMPINO
​Maintenance Manager

John Giampino is one of our Volunteer Veterans who helps us with all things building and maintenance.

​John served 31 years in the Australian Army, John was deployed to Bougainville, East Timor, Afghanistan and Solomon Islands. Retiring in 2017 as a Warrant Officer Class One.

John brings a wealth of knowledge and is always happy to turn his skill set to anything that is required.

DIRECTOR 

Jo is a highly experienced and motivated organisational leader focused on continual improvement in business processes, procedures and people development in order to build high performing teams.

Jo’s extensive commercial and financial management experience, provides the basis for her demonstrated leadership in financial growth and business development.

Jo is experienced in many business disciplines across a wide range of industries and a leader committed to people engagement, empowerment and building positive team cultures.

Jo is currently the CEO of Melbourne Legacy and uses her skills and experience to help build and develop Path of the Horse's team and organisational capability.

KRISTOPHER O'BRIEN
DIRECTOR

Kris is passionate and driven to address issues facing veterans and their families and improve community mental health for all areas.

Kris served in the Australian Army and was deployed to Timor Leste and Afghanistan before discharging in 2014.

Kris is studying a Bachelor of Social Work and brings experience helping to build companies and not-for-profit organisations in the veteran landscape.

​Kris currently works with Open Arms - Veterans and Family counselling as a Community and Peer Advisor.
